Rating a salon with many stylists is not that fair given that your experience relies solely on one individual, but I'm going to anyway.
Before I continue, I'll precede the review by explaining that I'm not the type of person that cares what the salon or stylist looks like. I'd much rather get my hair done in a homeless shelter by skilled stylist that listens with good products and tools, and LOVE my hair for the next 8 weeks than the opposite just because the salon is 'pretty' and you offered me a crappy cappuccino.
I digress...I made an appt for the usual - highlights. My hair is easy; highlights and a trim and I'm out of there. The colourist heard this and suggested that my style would benefit from low-lights and I said as long as the end result is what I want, then I'd be fine. The end result was something out of a Pepe Le pew cartoon. I went looking for 'natural, beachy blond', instead I got Cruella.
In addition, she was EXTREMELY harsh with my long, fine hair. Tangling the hell out of it and proceeding to brush it with anger as she vented about her ex. I didn't cheat on you, lady! I wept when I saw the brush and all my hair on it.
She was a 'level 3' colourist. The highest you can achieve before 'grand master'. Because of the honour, I got to pay $200 this travesty. Yay me.
