This is a beautiful museum with friendly staff (all of whom were happy to help me find my way around... in English).
When I visited, one of the temporary exhibits was devoted to Napoleon. It was an outstanding collection of sculpture, portraiture, and even some beautiful china he'd given to Josephine after their divorce.
The regular collection has some wonderful pieces, and the museum offers a free iTunes download so you can pair your art appreciation with some music appreciation. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the music component to work, but the introductions for each piece were nice... like having my own little free audio guide. In terms of information on the pieces of art, I was also very impressed by the placards throughout the museum. They offered a decent amount of information on the artist and the work itself.
Finally, a big cheer to any museum that offers as much seating as this one does! I can easily spend hours in an art museum, but that gets a little trying on the feet after a while... there are comfy couches throughout on which you can sit and stare for as long as you like.
