We've been to Vietnam many times and have tried all the famous and not so famous places for Pho and this place is honestly the closest you can get in Toronto. It's definitely better than the two famous places on Ossington.
We've been coming since they opened when they used to offer 10% off to bring in business to now where you go wait a long time to get seated if you don't come when they open because the cats out of the bag on how good it is. They are so busy that they don't even allow takeout on Friday and Saturday nights.
Large Beef Ball and Flank Pho ($9.00)
The Pho here is fantastic and always leaves you wanting more. The soup is not oily, doesn't make you thirsty and has this nice sweet taste to it that makes you crave it once you are done your bowl. The beef balls are the ones made with tendon and are super bouncy and the flank is high quality and has a nice amount of fat.
The fried spring rolls are 2 for $4.50 and are absolutely delicious as well. How good are they you might ask? So good that I forgot to take a picture of them before we devoured them. The spring rolls use the thicker wrappers that are crunchy and have a lot of meat and filling inside.
My only wish for this place would be for them to open up a bigger restaurant so we wouldn't have to wait so long for tables but the fear with that is that the quality would go down with more tables to serve.
Since we come back regularly, I remembered to take a photo of the spring rolls and the fresh summer rolls.
Fresh Summer Rolls (2 for $4.50)
The rolls here are freshly made and all the ingredients are of high quality. The dipping sauce is absolutely delicious and brings together all the ingredients. Definitely a must order when you aren't feeling for the fried spring rolls.
