You can claim best Korean in Madison because there are pretty much next to no excellent Korean restaurants in Madison. The side dishes were good, miso soup okay, your standard kimchi, sweet potato, and radish, the kimbap was better than everything else I ate after that. The bimbimbap everyone talked so great about wasn't that good. I'm sorry but the rest of you need to get your taste buds checked. The majority of the food was bland and unflavorful. The squid dish was pretty much squid with chili on it.
Overall I was disappointed with all the glowing reviews. I'm still looking for an awesome Korean place that serves spicy tofu soup where I can drop a fresh egg into it while it's still boiling hot with a great variety of banchan side dishes. Maybe Chicago will be my next stop if I want to eat Korean food again.
