  • This would be zero stars if they allowed it. Other than Cox Cable, Brake Masters is the absolute worst business I have ever had the displeasure of using. First time I went just for an oil change, and they overcharged me, hoping I wouldn't notice. The guy at the front desk is clueless and has a terrible, sarcastic personality to be dealing with customers. They guaranteed the car would be done in less than an hour and they would call me to let me know when they finished. Four hours went by with no call, so I called and they said "oh, um, yeah we just pulled it in." Obviously they forgot about the car and hurried to get it done as soon as I called. When I got there, they couldn't figure out how to reset the oil light on my dash and handed me a manual and asked me to do it myself. Inexplicably, I came back for the "lifetime brake" scam offer. Probably my fault for returning to this cesspool. After taking double the time they guaranteed, I finally got the call saying they were done. I laughed out loud when they also casually dropped this line to me before hanging up: "Oh, and we broke your oil cap. You'll need to go to the Acura dealer and buy a new one ASAP." When I went to pick up the car, they overcharged me again. Two-for-two on that scam. I looked over the bill and mentioned that I didn't see a discount for the broken oil cap. The useless guy up front said he had no idea and I would have to talk to the owner. The owner was standing right there so he came over and gave his recycled, lying through his teeth spiel. He claimed the cap broke because of "natural deterioration, which is standard for all cars and it wasn't their fault." I asked why, then, if the cap was "naturally deteriorating" how come they hadn't mentioned it when I was there three months earlier for an oil change. Seems pretty obvious that if it was "naturally deteriorating" for so long, then they would have noticed it last time they changed the oil. He of course had no reply since that would have taken an intelligent thought or honest bone in his body to admit his incompetent staff had made a simple mistake. Instead of doing the right thing and replacing the $10 part, they chose to lie and refuse to correct their mistake. They also left two tire valve caps off when they rotated the tires, so that was another little thing I had to replace. Within three weeks my brakes were squeaking again. This place is a complete failure top to bottom. Incapable of doing anything correctly or honestly. I bought the "lifetime brake" service and I will never set foot in this horrendously ran place again. Stay away, stay away, stay away at all costs. Terrible work, terrible service, terrible management, terrible all around.
