  • I've stayed at Bellagio a few more times since my last review, so this is my update. They seem to be trying to cure the long checkin line problem, and now have lines for people to stand, and an online check-in. Much improved since 2014 of my last review. I used the online check-in, and it was quick and painless. They send you an email early on your arrival day, you pick up your keys, then send you a text message when your room is ready and the room number. I will note there were still very long lines anytime after 11am every time I walked by. Here is a tip - AVOID the premium fountain view rooms from the main tower because of the loud music and DJ from the Paris hotel/Chateau nightclub (outdoor club). You can hear the driving bass and screaming DJ thumping loudly in your room. Its not like a little noise in the distance, this is bass you can still feel. The DJ yells through every song trying to hype up the crowd. And this goes on to exactly 4AM every night the club is open. Google this if you dont believe, its well documented on other sites. I'm surprised MGM/Bellagio management has not taken this to court to have them remove those outdoor speakers and DJ facing Bellagio. Another tip - avoid rooms with connecting doors. The doors do not block out any noise and you can hear conversations and TV from the next room over. I had a very loud group next to me that would scream and argue every night around 4am, so I know their life story now. By the way, I'm used to noise (live in south beach) and not an old geaser, but after about 3am i think it should be relatively quiet and not have to hear this. Or in the case of nightclub, wait each night to 4am before I could fall asleep. Last tip - for Bellagio management or MGM ownership. Its time to build some sort of food court area. I know its the Bellagio, but so many of the restaurants dont open until 5pm, and most are super premium anyways. My 2nd favorite hotel is the Venetian, and they have a nice, premium food court area right off the casino floor.. Its perfect to break away from gambling quickly, or to grab a quick bite before heading out for the day. My suggestion - close down Fix and put it right there. It appears to be the only restaurant at Bellagio below a 4 star yelp rating and its been there long enough. Plus the food court would make money all day long, while Fix is just a few hours. My friends and I usually end up walking to Planet Hollywood or Caesars for quick bites. (Btw, i know you just opened Snacks, but it is far too small, was always a long line, and not enough room to sit). Oh and one more quirk - not a fan of the non-branded toiletries. I like seeing luxury brands because I usually end up liking them, so I go buy them after my trip. I liked the Lanovera shampoo, but see I can't buy it because its a non brand type of thing. My updated review has gone long enough, so here are some final few tips: 1. Yellowtail restaurant is still amazing. Wait for the view. Wow. 2. Housekeeping people are so friendly and always in the hallways if needed. Great job. 3. The spa is great, Ive done several different treatments here, always impressed. 4. The Conservatory is just simply amazing. I love this feature and how its always updated. 5. Love that MLife card gives you 10% discount in the shops (particularly for buying snacks). Overall, I still love this hotel and location. Just wish they could fix a few things above.
