| - Happy to report that my family liked the place.
Now for my review:
I make it my business to visit every possible Brazilian Steakhouse (Chima, Fago de Chao, Texas de Brazil, and even the local ones like in Charlotte & Cali). Well, you know how some guys want to visit every Hall of Fame or Arena Mecca (e.g. think Lambeau then Cleveland for the Hall of Fame and I'm dying to get to NASCAR Hall of Fame) but anywhoo....
My ode to Samba:
How I loved thee from the beginning. When I searched for people to go with me and to no avail so I made family reservations. Then, I loved your locally owned process & ability to rework an old building keeping the historic flavor in tact. Thereafter, I finally made it to brunch. At the time your OJ was captivating but your waffles were underappreciated.
Yet, when the OJ disappeared I took NOTICE then the waffles flew the coop so I chose not to be bothered knowing I'd be able to fit my BODICE. When the service WAVERED I gladly stood in your defense that the Packers are on the screen so the place is maintaining some FLAVOR. Since I started this ode YESTERDAY and have since walked AWAY; I can't remember what I wanted to CONVEY but this is what I will SAY.
Please bring the WAFFLES BACK as that rowdy couple won't be back since y'all gave them the SACK
But I don't blame them as those waffles were GREAT - no syrup needed but hey that's the general consensus not just my TAKE.
Nonetheless, dining at the dinner HOUR can fall flat when the server is overly pompous coming across as SOUR. He was shocked to learn that dinner wasn't GREAT for my Valentine's DATE. But as the gentleman explained; we've been to TdB and the service was fiercely MEAN as in things were rolling hard, fast and smooth like a well oiled MACHINE.
I take this time to serenade you through POEM hoping when one of your owners finish his time served - he'll flip a COIN and say: "Give that Joyce and the MASSES the waffles that they have been craving because we're no FACISTS!" I love the décor, the color SCHEME as it all speaks to ME. I love the live PERFORMANCES even when there were only so so MUSICIANS.
I've never sat upstairs but expect it to be SWANK; I have sat in the bar, closest to the buffet area and nothing felt depressing and DANK. I appreciate you all taking a chance to bring the Brazilian style dining flair to a smaller market as I know running a business can be HARD but even catering to the vegetarians is SMART.
I'm sure you're a Madison favorite, dare I SAY, so stick to the recipe so your journey will be successful, long running justifying you all to STAY.
P.S. Your receipt may have a discount to Café Samba below.
