Kibo is just down the street and I've been meaning to check it out for a while. My husband is a huge sushi fan and I don't mind it from time to time. We finally decided to drop in for dinner.
The place has neat decor with private booths but nothing special. We were the only patrons in the restaurant which is always a bit questionable but we thought we might as well try it out. We ordered a couple of rolls, edamame, and karaage chicken. I can't say any of it was very good. The edamame was cold, the karaage chicken was particularly greasy, and the rolls were disappointing. I couldn't put my finger on what exactly made the rolls disappointing but then my husband mentioned that it was the rice.... it just wasn't very fresh.
Although the place is very close and the staff seem very friendly and eager, we found the food to be a total miss and won't be returning.
