| - I came to Shops on Yonge for the first time this past Easter Monday with low expectations (heard it's not that great). Driving in, I wanted to like this place immediately. Shiny and new inside and out. Unfortunately, this is another Pacific Mall wannabe that couldn't pull through. Numerous small shops on 3 floors with a food court at the top, and a grocery store at the bottom. Since it was Easter Monday, many of the shops were closed, but the mall itself was pretty barren anyway. I felt pretty bad for the businesses that were open since my boyfriend and I were one of the few people actually walking around the mall. The busiest place would probably be the grocery store. Looking down from the 2nd floor, it looked stylishly renovated and I was really excited to go down and see it. Once we were there, it was evident that hard times have hit, and the current or new owners have left the place in disrepair. You can tell from the lights and the shelving that it was once very nice but now it has become rundown. On the outside, they have Love Me Sweet (Japanese cheesecake shop), Muncheez (crepes), and Sushi Bong, which probably have a bit more luck.
