  • We had an early dinner here last night before the game with my two boys and their buddy. After making reservations I read some reviews, I picked a few excellent and then read the 2 poor and 3 terrible to get an idea of what could go wrong. Usually it's either a simple mistake or a staff looked at someone which they perceived wrong and they cop the "I'm the big paying customer attitude" when in fact the staff probably was clueless to the perceptions and still has no idea unless they read the review! I found this to be the case with these, don't get me wrong, service is important but if you start your review off with "The food was well-prepared and tasted good", there could possibly be a problem in the mirror! We had two cowboy ribeyes, a filet and sea bass. All plates were well prepared, good looking, and great taste. One of the first things you notice is that there are no salt or pepper shakers on the tables. This can be interpreted two ways; you choose. I strayed a bit from my usual French onion soup and got the butternut squash soup with cream and pumpkin seed. It was delicious but a little too sweet for my taste so my 16 year old finished it off. I ordered a house salad to get some acidity to counter act the sweet and it worked out well. Steaks came perfectly cooked, and looked amazing. My wife and I recently went to Flemings and the ribeye they served didn't look half as good as this one. Matter of fact the bone in at Texas Land and Cattle looks better than the Flemings steak. My son's friend also had the cowboy ribeye and his too looked amazing. It just makes for a better meal when your first impression is "wow; that looks good". The other dishes were well plated also. We accompanied the entrees with creamed spinach and steakhouse prepared mushrooms, both well prepared with sharp flavors. Service, where most people had their problems, wasn't ours at all. The service couldn't have been better. Our waitress was kind, professional, and presented herself and Sullivan's with class. She wasn't overly attentive and didn't disappear for long periods, just right. Kudos to Katelin, we appreciate her professionalism and kindness in her service. She alone pushes the final rating to excellent. Go to Sullivan's and enjoy a great meal
