  • If it takes a village to raise a baby and the babies are these ice creams, then the villagers at Village are doing a pretty good job! With small-batch artisnal ice cream shops few and far in between in Calgary, village definitely dominates in this market. Would I say they're the best compared to other places in other cities I've had? That's a solid no. But, for what we have here, it's good and it does a great job of satisfying all and any of my ice cream cravings. I find their flavors less sweet than other ice creams which I enjoy but this can account for a more subdued flavor which some don't enjoy as much. Personally I've thought the original flavor Guides Mint just doesn't have enough mint flavor but Cardamom is fantastic. Again, it's great for what we have in this city but my heart belongs to Bang Bang in Toronto which I ALWAYS crave.
