| - As far as sporting goods stores go, most Sportsman's are a safe bet. They usually have decent pricing on ammo, a good selection of holsters for a variety of brands and pistol models, as well as an organized and clean establishment.
This review is only specific to the customer service experience I had at this specific location off Greenfield in Mesa. Just about every employee I spoke with seemed like they were only focused on counting the minutes till they could get the hell out of there and be somewhere else. From the moment I walked in, I was barked at by an old man to check in my gun at the customer service desk, which he did without even looking at me as he said it. Second, I asked for some help finding a specific holster for my Glock 23, and the guy curtly responded, "What we got is on the rack. Just gotta look for it." (no shit, Sherlock) Lastly, I asked a pair of 20-something year old workers if they do price matching, and again, I got a real short response of "No." before they returned to looking at something on on of their cell phones..
I found the Holster I was needed elsewhere for $26 less, and .40 cal ammo for $4 less. Better to make SOME money than NO money, eh Sportsman's?
Do yourself a favor and go to Cabela's.
