The seating inside is that of a home, crowded with wobbly tables. Outside looks like a good hang I suppose.
There are no fountain drinks which always seems to be the case in pretentious places along with the exclusion of saccharin from the sweetener options cause we know how awesome sugar is for you. Anyone lose a foot to sweet and low lately?
The meatballs are ok but far from having any stand out flavor. The bread is good though.
The calamari was ok but the pepper sauce was bland.
They only serve pasta after 5pm and you will hear people ask over and over as you dine only to hear the same origin story about how they make it fresh and its spun into gold by an artisanal god who does nothing but work on perfecting the pasta. This whole thing is just to push a feeling of demand, plain and simple. The menu is limited without the pasta so if you come before 5pm you are a sucker, if you come after 5pm you will have to wait. Just the right kind of mind tricks that get people thinking this is all they desire. I think its petty, petty as this review I suppose but its a crap ploy and stinks of smugness.
The pizza has the good bread but goes off the rails from there. The red sauce is watered down. Some people like the wine taste in pizza but this is clearly not the kind I like. They also do this authentic bs with the cheese where its is more of jizz clumps here and there and the meat thrown on with lackluster placement to show how not serious they take themselves.
The wait staff were great besides getting sat at the worst table but all these reviews are delusional. You could walk into a red devil any day and have a better pizza than this. This idea that authentic or age old ways of making something automatically means it's better is BS, sometimes new ways are better suited. To think this place has all these positive reviews for such a mediocre dining experience hindered by purposefully limited options speaks more about the people who frequent here just being happy with style over substance, bland over taste.
