| - Purchased a Groupon for 60 min facial and 30 minute facial. Bought the Groupon for my mom and I for Mother's Day so we were both getting services.
CON: First, they were 35 minutes late getting us back to the massage room. When all was said and done (checking with with therapists, getting undressed), the massage started about 45 minutes after our appt. time. Wasn't the biggest deal, however, our 60 minute massage somehow turned into a 33 minute massage. This really upset me because I had been looking forward to this all month and felt disappointed that the massage I got for my mom as a gift turned into half of what we expected. Further, I am pregnant so my massage was prenatal. He told me that because I was pregnant he could only do my back. No neck, no arms, no legs, no feet. I had 6-8 massages last year while pregnant with my son and never ran into this issue - so that was a major disappointment. 33 minutes of my back.
Pro: I have to say, the massage therapist was good. (His name was Cody), I really enjoyed every last of those 33 minutes
Con: my top sheet on the massage bed... it was damp!! Like significantly damp as in only had been in the dryer for a little bit. So that was uncomfortable and the bed was also hard as a rock.
Pro: the massage room was set up nicely - nice and dim how I like it with nice wave sounds in the background. I felt very comfortable.
On to the facial:
No complaints about the facial. I've had a few in the past and they've turned into a sales pitch about products I should buy - this was just a nice, relaxing facial (with a little arm and hand massage!) and I really enjoyed it and my skin felt great afterward!
The salon itself is cute - it's clean - and the staff is nice. It just seemed like they weren't prepared for us to be there or something?
The Groupon was only $45 for the facial AND the massage so it was a good deal - but the deal was the full hour so I'm really not that sure what happened there (I didn't ask, we were already dressed when I saw the time). I also got charged a service charge there - there was no indication of that on the Groupon
