  • If I could give 0 stars I would because this place doesn't even deserve 1 star. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL healthcare place I have EVER been to "Dr. Shaili Patel" is the WORST "Doctor (MD)" I have ever met, such a shame that she is a "Psychiatrist". After personally seeing so many clients complain at the front office and running off or yelling at the Psychiatrist because of the lack of empathy that the doctors and office staff have and I never did anything until it happened to me. I am WARNING you: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE! I went in to see "Doctor" Patel because I was in the middle of a crisis situation & was not feeling emotionally stable. I personally work as a mental health professional in the valley and know a lot about mental health. However, I went in to see "Doctor" to get a medical opinion on what I should do if I should go inpatient, go to a hospital or other resources available for what I had. At the moment, I was very emotional & had suicidal thoughts. It was an URGENT situation that should be taken seriously. However, "Doctor" Patel did not take it serious AT ALL. She broke various of Code of Ethics that she must follow as a psychiatrist! I will make sure to make a complain to AZ medical board. She does not respect patients autonomy and does not provide competent and compassionate care. She pressures patients into taking multiple medications and is not respectful whatsoever! Dr. Patel always keeps on adding medication or increasing my dosage for every little thing. She is NOT open to the idea of using alternative option (herbal, holistic medication) and only considers Western medicine. If you request otherwise, Dr. Patel gets rude and mad . Personally, I didn't want to take more medicine than I am already taken, as she wanted to add 2+ medications on top of what I am already taking. AGAIN, NOT RESPECTING PATIENTS AUTONOMY! She needs an in-depth, extensive course on cultural diversity in psychiatry & mental health. She ONLY looks at the present and doesn't look at the side effects the medication has and doesn't take into consideration her clients concerns. She also takes 5-10 minutes to access a patient, which is ridiculous because it is quite expensive for an appointment! It is so sad to see the lack of care and empathy that Dr. Patel has for her patients. Based on my HORRIBLE personal experiences I will make sure all mental health providers in Arizona use this case as an example of unethical, incompetent, & lack of cultural diversity in mental health. Also, I will NEVER recommend my friends, family members, or patients here ever again. I recommend that all patients that come to Premier Health & Wellness to look up their rights and check if their psychiatrist is following the code of ethics and/ or doing something unethical. All in all, Doctor Patel is in the WRONG field and lacks the basic skills & knowledge needed to be a competent and compassionate psychiatrist.
