| - I've been on this strange mission lately of going around to the various local pizzerias in my neighborhood and sampling/comparing their "by the slice" pizzas as an alternative to my usual carry-out stops during the week. I've yet to strike gold - and haven't really struck much of anything to be perfectly honest.
For what it's trying to be, which is a pretty standard, straight-forward family pizzeria for the local neighborhood, Brother's seems to be just fine. I've visited a few times now and always order two single slices of pepperoni. I'm not sure what's a fair comparison. Barro's, maybe? If that's the case, I feel Brother's is above them.
Ingredients are fine and crust has okay flavor. I live just a few minutes from here, so by the time I get my home, my pizza is still edible. Although I've found that it usually ends up getting hard very quickly, even before finishing off the second slice. Kind of strange, but single slices have often been sitting out for God knows how long.
Anyway, although it's nothing really spectacular in comparison to what else is available, it's decent enough to the point where I see myself swinging by here on occasion for a couple of slices, or maybe even a calzone when I'm feeling the urge to live dangerously.
Check them out.
