3 months on a special order of comics that came out the week when I was ordering them. Stopped by 5 times during this time and no call and no comics. I stopped in today to see if they had the comics and finally they were in and I was super excited until 2 of the comics were bent in the middle and the last one looked like it was slid across concrete.
I told the guy behind the redgester I wasn't going to buy them after pointing out the huge bends and scuff marks. I grabbed a different comic out of a box just so I could leave with something. Went to check out and the guy said we can only give you partial credit back for the comics you ordered. I was livid, not only did it take 3 months to get there they were messed up and they were not going to give me my money back. After showing my irritation and voicing my valid concerns he did give me the full credit for what I paid. The remark that stood out was, it seems like your blaming us for this. I told him he was right about that, you ordered comics that I could have because you offered to. You reordered them when 2 months had passed and I stopped in wondering where my phone call was after 2 weeks was at due to the promise of a call. Then you receive them and still no call. I stopped in and there all bent and scratched. I didn't even raise my voice and I could tell the guy that was trying to handle my issue was getting frustrated with me, I think because they sell tons of damage comics that it's OK. He's hands shook as he handed me the pen to sign my name for the comic I just bought, made me fell bad. It wasn't his fault just store policy. I apologized to him although it was the store he works for that has those policy's. The guy is a great dude, just works for the wrong comic book store. Although I felt taken advantage of, how upset I made this guy, made me feel a little better about the situation.
I won't be stopping back there ever, there's so many other comic shops better than that one.
