  • In February 2015 I decided to become a Platinum Member after going there a week before with one of my sons. I met with Eddie Gardner and he explained the contract which cost $250 a month plus tax. For that my family got to golf from Open to 5pm on weekdays and until noon on the weekends. Plus I got a $120 credit to golf anytime after those hours. I figured if I went with my family or clients once a week it would pay for itself. Also, there is a $125 start up fee. Below is the good and the bad about this place. Good 1) Great food. They honestly have some of the best chefs working there. The food was always top notch. 2) Great bay host. These people were always fast and pleasant to deal with. 3) Rhonda Carlton - She is a Platinum member host. Extremely fun and pleasant. Will do anything to make you happy. 4) It's fun..at least for the first few months.I think I went maybe a bit too much during the "honeymoon" period. Most people there are not serious golfers and just like to have a good time. Bad 1) I was never explained by Eddie there's a $500 cancellation fee. Now, it is in the contract so shame on me for not reading that. But I feel that is something that should of been said up front. Think about it...why $500? They deactivate me as a member and that's it. How hard can it be? Since February I spent probably 3k here and now they want another $500? 2) Don't sign up if you are left handed. I guess left handed clubs are limited there. I went a few times and couldn't golf because they didn't have any. And on other visits I had to wait to get them. It's great to pay $250 a month to watch others golf. This was frustrating. 3) Most Platinum events are lame. Some were nice but a Monday morning golf tournament? A event to fix up old bicycles? I'm all for charity and doing nice things but having this as the monthly activity? Really? 4) As a Platinum Member I got 10% off of food. The problem is the food servers never remembered to take it off when I got the bill. And when I asked about it afterwards they said they couldn't take it off after the transaction was ran. Ok..I get it's only 10% but why even have this as a perk if they don't take it off? 5) "We will work on it". After every complaint I had in regards to the clubs, the 10% or something else that is what was said. That's all fine and dandy but what about a small gift card for lunch or an appetizer? Perhaps additional golf time added? Nothing. Overall management just has POOR customer service and they all need to take a class on pleasing the customer. Eddie Gardner couldn't say "Thank you" or "Have a nice day" to save his life. Even when I inquired about canceling he didn't ask why and just said it will be $500 plus tax. My advice - if you are considering becoming a member and you are on the fence about signing up..hold off. Just pay for it each time you go. After 3 months I couldn't even drag my kids there anymore. Also, I believe they need to be in business a few more years and get some higher quality people on the management staff. I'm sure after this review the marketing director will say "Thanks for your review and we will make every attempt to make your experience better in the future" or something like that.
