| - Let me preface by saying that I almost never eat fast food. Nevertheless, I think I can list about 20 fast food places that I find superior to this one.
I finally stopped in to try In-N-Out after seeing the rather large parking lot at this location permanently full and hearing the rantings and ravings from people all over the universe about the franchise.
First, coming within about a square mile of this place will put you in a (likely life-threatening) nuclear fallout cloud of grease - so extrapolate that a bit to think about what I experienced walking into the actual door of the building. Second, I was a bit disappointed to see that they literally sell only hamburgers and fries. Why are there not a few other American fried food classics like onion rings and chicken tenders, or even a few different styles of burgers or related entrees? Third, I would say that the cheeseburger and fries that I had were pretty terrible, even as far as fast food goes. It is kind of like putting that aforementioned greasy nuclear cloud into your mouth and intestines.
This really makes me wonder why anyone marvels at In-N-Out, unless they've never had anything else. For anyone who likes In-N-Out, I would recommend perhaps a Steak 'n Shake or Culver's as a well-rounded, higher-quality, still affordable and greasy fast food place. Since this is the only In-N-Out I've been to, I can't say that there is anything particularly wrong with this location. Instead, I can confidently say that I'd choose almost any other fast food franchise over this one.
