| - I was at the Perfect Scoop on 11/17/15 at around 9:15 pm. I've been to the Perfect Scoop before, and their speed of service has NEVER been great, this event prompted me to write a review of how bad the service is.
My family and I walked in and there was one couple at the table, and a gentleman at the counter. The young lady ordered an item and then two young ladies began to fulfill the orders. This took a while. As I mentioned, speed has NEVER been in the wheelhouse for the Perfect Scoop so I waited a bit. We were up and my children and I ordered our items and we paid. I left a 20% tip ahead of time on my card. In retrospect, I would have left none.
It took 10 minutes for one of the young ladies to tell us that they had No Vanilla. They usual carry Vegan and Non-Vegan Vanilla and they were out of both. How does an ice-cream shop not have Vanilla? And why did it take 10 minutes for her to tell me?
Oh, I forgot to mention, as I waited for my items, one of the young ladies, who I found out was new, proceeded to go to her Smart Phone and change the music... while I waited for my items. Also the music was rather loud. This isn't the newly opened Omnia @ Cesaers and I don't need to listen to EDM while waiting for a Vanilla Shake.
I'm not 15 minutes into this ordeal and I was asked if I wanted to change flavors, along with my daughter. I'm not inflating the time, 15 minutes. My daughter proceeds to try several flavors and lands on Vegan Cookies and Cream. I say I will have the same in a shake without the Boba (my daughter is having Boba in hers). 5 minutes later, I was told they are out of Cookies and Cream. Wait, she just tried some... the confusion is that they thought we wanted Non-Vegan. At this point, I don't care of it is Vegan or Non-Vegan, I paid for the item, I just want it.
My temper started to rise, and I was about to ask for a complete refund. However, I don't want to upset my daughter so I stick it out.
The manager/owner/partner finally climbs out of the back office area and helps out. The place starts fill with my consumers that are not going to get the time waiting back for a simple order.
We get in the car, and my daughter proceeds to tell me that the Boba was over-cooked. That really was the last straw and decided it was time to let others know that not only is the customer experience poor, now their product is sub-par.
As I previously mentioned, we usually go to the Perfect Scoop twice a month. I don't think I will EVER be back after this experience. I try to support Mom & Pop (small) businesses, this one doesn't want to stay in business after the fiasco my family had to go through.
