  • Do not go here. Do not be enticed by the multiple of flyers that get dropped into your mailbox as they are nothing more than a scam to get your money. Now here are the reasons why. I had moved into the area and joined the gym since it was so close (I was living at 100 Upper Madison at the time.) Let's start with the scam at the beginning. When you start this gym you get a "free personal evaluation" before you get your membership. This evaluation is meant to upsell you to the personal training sessions which are grossly overpriced before you get your membership. Leave me alone, I want to workout not spend $$$ for your sessions. After I had said "no" to the trainer, I get to go into another room with the manager who tries to continue to work you with their less-than-pleasant sales tactics. After about 6 months, I had a job transfer and moved out west. I promptly cancelled my membership and they said that I would have to pay another 2 months past the point of my leaving since I had left so quickly. Fine no need to worry, I got my signed document!! 4 months after I quit I had called the individual that was in charge of "the billing" at that location and asked her to call me back. Nothing for another few months. I called again and was able to get an employee and give me a written statement that I am no longer part of the gym and don't have to pay fees anymore. FANTASTIC!...but wait there's more!! My credit card continues to get charged and I have to fax my letter (that they gave to me to tell me that I was no longer part of the gym...). I called again and had to fax back their fax to me that I had QUIT. Another year passes and I get a letter saying that my file has been sent to a collections agency and if I don't pay their ransom...I er...mean "past due notice" then they would come after me, ruin my credit record blah, blah, blah... What?! Luckily I know to keep my paperwork with these criminals and sent them my cancellation again and confirm receipt with someone with an IQ of above 50. Had a random conversation about someone with Extreme Fitness and indicated that this practice of holding onto your credit card and charging you is the NORM. Consider yourself warned!!
