  • I stayed in this hotel the night before flying out for Christmas, and the night after flying back. Various problems, but some good things. My car was stolen from the parking lot. Common to both nights: + Medium priced. + The beds were comfortable. - The TV service TV listings were blank. + Staff were friendly and helpful. - No bathtubs, just huge shower stalls that were more than large enough for bathtubs. - Hotel restaurant has high prices. I'm not used to staying in hotels, so maybe this is normal. There is nothing nearby. Night #1: - A. Construction noise (impact drill and hammering on walls), all evening up until 10:30 pm, at which time they stopped only because I called the front desk and asked for it to stop. No common sense by anyone regarding this, obviously. - B. Fitted sheet and pillow cases didn't fit properly. - C. Someone's used single-use dental floss pick was on the floor beside the bed, in clear view. - D. Only one drinking cup in room, a coffee cup, which I had to search for. - E. I woke up the next morning to find that my car had been stolen from the parking lot. It had been parked facing the front door. Surveillance video was inadequate to identify thieves, even though they parked their own car with their licence place facing the camera. + F. Hotel manager was kind and helped as much as she could with the car theft. She even gave me a free supper when I returned, which was a good thing, since their prices are high, and there was nowhere to eat within walking distance. Night #2 + A. Sheets and pillowcases fit properly. + B. Quiet (well, as quiet as a hotel by the airport can be). - C. Alarm clock alarm did not go off in the morning like it should have. The alarm WAS set for AM, but maybe the time was not set properly. I was luckly I woke up when I did. No time for shower. No time for their free breakfast. No time to take Calgary transit to the Greyhound bus station (remember, my car was stolen). The taxi cab ride was expensive. I chose NOT to stay at this hotel again when I had to return to retrieve my car when it was recovered by Calgary Police.
