Oh the good old Excalibur, what can I say? Nothing fancy and they don't apologize for it. They've remodeled the tower rooms but don't expect anything fantastic.
If you're just looking for basic accommodation with a casino downstairs, nothing wrong with this place. The ice buckets are tiny and the cups are plastic. I'm pretty sure the "new" lamps and furniture in the rooms are actually from Luxor, another MGM property, but they work. I swear I've seen them before anyway.
If you're looking for fine dining or a fancy experience, go a little further north on the strip, but if you're a simple guy like me, it's an okay place to stay. Besides, if you end up wanting that, it's just a cab ride up Las Vegas Blvd.
