We had great fun trying The Unknown room but were very frustrated that we could not pass it in time, having done about half a dozen different escape rooms now at different locations. There were many puzzles but we were frustrated with the design on a couple of them. There were a few that were rather unique and we were excited to get some of those but there was one puzzle in particular near the beginning of your search involving some prop pieces (not a padlock style puzzle) that really frustrated us. It did not make sense at all and the clue we got did not help at all either. We had to be told exactly what to do with this "match up" puzzle of sorts. Usually if we find a puzzle we have trouble with and have to get help, when we learn the solution we are more excited and laugh at ourselves for not seeing it but this one I did not like AT ALL. I find it hard to believe that many humans would figure this one out on their own. There was not enough help for an average person to figure out what we were supposed to be solving on this one even with help!
The room itself though was quite fun, being a "multi room" design. Some escape places where you are stuck in a 10x10 room the entire time can get claustraphobic and simply frustrating seeing the same few pieces over and over for an hour. I very much enjoy the concept of multi rooms giving you a "fresh start" and a new eye at a different setup and new puzzles.
We had a group of four and came two puzzles short of solving this but I imagine with a group of 6-8 this room is do-able. We want to come back and try another room here. It is in a nice, quiet part of town away from the strip so the area is great as well. We have read good reviews of the Mars and Pompeii rooms and want to try both. If it is your first or second time doing an escape room we would highly recommend an easier room to try first or you will be frustrated by The Unknown room.
