  • I came here to Meineke, because I called about 10 5 solid Yelp-starred auto repair business in my central Scottsdale neighborhood, and none of them could accommodate the 8'4" height, and duelly-wheels of my pictured Toyota Sunrader camper, to replace the carrier-bearing and U-joint under it. Meineke has all three, the necessary hoist to lift duelly wheels, the clearance in their bay after they lift a vehicle that is already over 8 feet, and lift that can accommodate the duelly wheels. If they did not have that, well, Meineke also still has 2 oil change pits. Meineke was willing to use my parts. though they charge MORE for labor $138/hr, for customer-provided parts, vs. $125/hr for store provided parts, cos they are not making $ on the parts if I bring my own. I also needed a rush job because I was leaving town for 2 week vacation in this camper and Meineke could do it "today". I left my truck there and they gave me a ride to my other car, to look for the parts. Randy took great care of me, he made my "worries and concerns" disappear many times, and not with empty words. He came through on all his words with actions. When the U-joints that were supposed to fit my truck, were too large, Randy really hustled to help me find the right part and had several U-joints sent to their shop, but they were also the wrong ones. I finally found the right size U-joint by taking the old one they removed to Advanced Auto Parts (FKA Carquest), and they had the right one, so I was able to get the 2 hour job done that same day. Since the repair, I drove that truck about 400 miles and the repair feels great. This store has a relatively new owner since about a year ago, and Randy has been at this location about 1 year, too. The employees speak highly of their new owner. They told me the previous owner only gave "Christmas bonuses" only to certain employees, but the current owner gave bonuses to everyone, even the low level employees. He also hosted BBQs for the employees after the shop closed, while the previous owner did not do that, and the new owner comes to the shop a lot more often. So I hope my 5 star review will help improve their rather poor reviews, which on the date wrote this one, is only 2.5 stars. I see that much of 1 star reviews come from the previous management. Overlook those scary poor reviews from the past, and take a risk and come here and try them out. Randy will do his best to take care of you! He is so upbeat, cheerful, and "diligent" !!! The new owner is very lucky to have Randy as his service writer.
