Slightly disappointed in the flavor of the broth, the texture of the ramen, and the overall experience of my tonkatsu ramen. I guess you can say I've been spoiled with ramen from LA and SF, so my expectations were pretty high for Ramen Tatsu. Maybe I came in on an off day because I certainly did not experience their 4.5 star reputation on yelp. The tonkatsu broth was the slightest bit tasty and wasn't fatty enough for my taste. The ramen, although generous in portion, was not al-dente but soggy as if it had been sitting in the bottom of the bowl for hours. The toppings didn't come with much: mound of green onions, two slices of cha siu, and wood ear. I added my own egg, which was probably my favorite part of the ramen.
Nonetheless, the service was great! Green tea was perfect for a rainy night and to soothe my throat. I probably won't be coming here again with Jinya only a short drive away.
