I USED to go here. A few years back they recommended a debridement (an expensive and invasive procedure) because they said I had severe gum disease. I got up and walked out. The next week I went to another dentist (Dr. Neary). I didn't tell them what Southwest said. They cleaned, examined and x-rayed my teeth and said everything looked great. I then told them about my Southwest diagnosis. Hmmmmmm. Who is trying to make money here?
My husband continued to go to Southwest. This month he went in for a check-up and they told him he needed two root canals under existing crowns. They would TRY to save the crowns. He went to Dr. Neary for a second opinion. After x-rays and an exam, Dr. Neary couldn't find anything wrong.
Apparently, at one point, our insurance reimbursed them for some proceedures that we'd paid for. There was credit on our account of over $800!!! No one ever let us know and if we wouldn't have found out by accident and requested a check be sent to us, they probably would have kept it. The money had been in the account for almost a year! It took over a month for a check to be cut and sent to us.
Seems to me this place keeps diagnosing "problems" to make money and keep you coming in. We will NEVER go back.
