The store itself is new and clean, and given the neighborhood it is likely to stay that way. The socialized alcohol distribution system has clearly decided that this will be one of their upmarket stores. Of course they wouldn't admit that the wealthier neighborhoods get better treatment, but it's pretty obvious. Visit the one on North Graham street and you'll see what I mean. The difference is also manifest in the liquor supply - this location has all of the top-shelf brands that are being phased out of the poorer stores.
The quality of service is equally improved. A lady actually walked into the aisle to help me find what I wanted. Amongst ABC employees, that is a rare display of initiative. Two of the employees were also having an amusing conversation about how dull it is to work the day-shift here because there isn't much daytime drinking in Cotswold. Hah!
