I was referred here by my dentist for wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Scott Hoyer and his staff were wonderful! They were so friendly and did everything in their power to make me feel at ease and comfortable. They did a great job of walking me through the process, and what I should expect. Wait times were minimal at all my appointments. The day of surgery I was in and out in about 40 minutes flat. I even received a phone call from the nurse the next day to check up on me and my recovery.
I wish I could say the same about the front counter. My experience with the front counter staff was disappointing from beginning to end. My initial phone call to get things squared away with my insurance I found out that this office out of network. My insurance (BCBS) required that the office call to answer a few questions for a pre-certification process then I would be able to receive in-network rates. The woman insisted that it was not their responsibility to make these phone calls. I then insisted that she double check with billing, she eventually apologized and had billing make the phone call. It was suggested that I complete my paperwork a head of time on-line. The paperwork was lost, I had to fill it out again before my appointment.
When surgery day came, which was schedule over a month later, my insurance had not been run and I was charge the full amount to be reimbursed later
To sum up my experience, the work I needed done was done beautifully once I got pass the not so helpful front counter. Be prepared to pay up front. I ended up paying about 2 1/2 the amount of what was estimated to me at my evaluation. I got the impression that they were more on the insurance companies side than mine. Well hopefully I will be getting a check in the mail soon.
