I had a 60 min Swedish massage here last Friday evening. Normally I don't bother/enjoy the spa experience but I had a gift certificate so I thought I might as well use it.
The experience was interesting, the locker room we were escorted to was actually slightly packed at the time making it annoying to change and move around. After you slip into a robe, you wait in a small waiting area with some tea, sandwich fingers and biscuits set out.
My masseuse was quite good but to be honest she wasn't any more skilled than an average massage therapist.
On the way out, I was given a glass of champagne to enjoy.
Overall, what boggled my mind was that the massage cost $163 after tax, which didn't even include a tip for the masseuse. That's double what I pay at my normal massage therapist. I can't really equate a white robe, a biscuit and a glass of champagne to adding $80 in value.
