My girlfriend and I had made reservations at Portofino for Sunday January 11th, two weeks prior to that date. We were very excited and had procured a buy one get one entree coupon as well as having a dining credit with the Mirage hotel (where Portofino is located) so we were excited to have a fancy dinner together.
We got all dressed up and headed down stairs for our dinner and upon reaching the restaurant, there was no one at the host stand. We walked up the stairs and looked in to the restaurant, no one was in there, no staff, no customers, no sign posted, only what the hours and days of operation were that indicated that the restaurant should be open.
Through our own detective work we found out that the restaurant decided to change their hours and just decided not to contact people (or at least us) with reservations to notify them.
We were obviously upset and I can't believe that they would treat their prospective patrons this way, I can't imagine how i would feel if this attitude is how they treat their customers in the restaurant.
Very dissapointed.
