I visited Sweet Republic to participate in Local First Arizona Independents Week. The business members are listed to accept the Golden Coupon during this event. Sweet Republic was listed as a participating member that should be accepting the Golden Coupon. I brought a digital Golden Coupon. They staff said the owner had forbid them from accepting a digital Golden Coupon unless it was in print form. None of the other businesses participating Local First Arizona have this attitude. What is the point of this event if a customer can not even utilize the offer? It seems like the owner wants to benefit from advertising thru Local First Arizona but, does not want to honor the offer for customers. It is like false advertising. The motto at Sweet Republic, "our goal is to put a smile on each of our customers' faces". I left with a frown, very disappointed and without my milkshake. It seems like the owner is not interested in reaching this goal if she has instructed her staff to forbid accepting an electronic Golden Coupon presented in a program Sweet Republic is advertising to be participating in. This is not good business. So many businesses accept electronic coupons. This place is overpriced anyway...
