| - I've been to Polished in South Park before, and I've not been impressed, so I don't know why I thought the new one in Stonecrest would be any different. I should have gone to my favorite place (Nail Tek in Quail Corners) instead of the Ballantyne Polished.
I waited for 15 minutes in a chair before someone finally came over. The girl who did my pedi was nice, but spent more time talking to her co-workers about bars than doing my nails. I was advised that I needed three coats of the color I chose, so I agreed. When she finished and after I tipped, I looked at my toes and the color was literally glopped on. I had someone find her and asked for a re-do. She kindly agreed. She put a base coat on my toes, then said, "I'll be right back". Then a guy came over and asked what I needed done (this was confusing). He polished my toes - they finally looked good, but it took him forever.
I will not go back to a Polished again. The only redeeming quality is that you get a big glass of wine. If you want a trendy nail salon that looks good, but mediocre service, then Polish is for you. If you are happy with a clean and unpretentious salon, then go to Nail Tek.
