  • I wasn't going to write a review but after nothing but bad experiences for much of our tenancy, I feel obligated to inform others. My boyfriend and I signed a lease almost a year ago. The entire process began very unprofessionally. The agent in charge of the property parted from the company before we even signed the lease. So we were on our 2nd agent (now on our 3rd). I wish we would've watched the signs and never signed the lease. Upon move in, our house was hardly "move in" ready. Baseboards throughout the entire house were and still are scuffed with black marks. The painting touch ups inside the house are a joke as you can visibly see spots that are feet long of the "new paint". The plumbing has been an issue from move in. The walls....scuffed too. The cabinets throughout the kitchen weren't even cleaned out...I had to clean upon move in. This however is now the least of our problems. Much like another reviewer, I have had problems with the agent, Mike. The second agent also left shortly after the lease was signed...and our communications about things concerning the property ironically weren't documented (good thing I screen shotted our convos). My first experience with Mike was him calling me scolding me for paying our rent on the 15th each month (this was already discussed with prev. agent and I was told that the owner had okayd it). Aside from this, RPMLV makes a lot of money off of us in late fees each month, which we've never put up a fight over as we agreed to it. After a disturbing conversation with Mike who's non-personable personality seems to have a way of offending people, I contacted Arody and asked that someone else handle my property. She was very friendly and unlike Mike, seems to understand how to speak to people when in a customer driven industry. Fast forward....we gave 3 months notice and are fulfilling our year lease. After many unanswered calls, emails and messages, I decided to go down to the office to speak in person with my new property manager. I walk up and the sign says "closed" (it was 4:15pm). I opened the door and asked the receptionist if they were open, he said yes. I informed him of the sign...he responded as if he knew. Weird. The receptionist is wonderful. He has been the friendliest person I've met there. I asked for my property manager, out walks Mike. He was friendly at first, that changed rather quickly. Abrupt responses. Felt as though they were in a confrontational tone. He offended me quickly enough that I asked to speak with someone else. He was offended and rudely fulfilled my request. I spoke with Arody, who very politely explained what he explained in a rude way. When I confronted her about his behavior, she stated that she thinks that's just how he is. So this makes it okay? Hmmmm. I left there feeling as though Mike will find a reason to take not reimburse our deposit, when we've taken excellent care of this home and caused no damages (by an undisclosed comment he made during our conversation). Bottom line is this....this will be without a doubt my first and last experience with this company. We are counting the days until our lease is up. We are great tenants who got caught up in their employment shuffle and rude service. I am the type of tenant who leaves a home better than I was given it, and despite being treated bad, this is no exception. Please do your research and READ REVIEWS before signing a lease with this company. I would rather give my $2,700/mo to a better company.
