We had gotten pre-approved for a loan through our credit union and were using their buying program. We found the car we wanted and were quoted a price $1000 over what was listed. We were told by our sales rep that the lesser price was only good if we used their financing. Our understanding was that there was no haggling with the credit union buying program. This was not the case. We should have walked out, when the haggling started.
But we made the deal and that's when the customer service went down hill. Our sales rep left us to wait for the financing guy and we waited over an hour. When this was done, our sales rep got us to the car. He gave us only one key and we asked for the car's manual. He looked for it and couldn't find it, but said he would call us the next day. We had no response the next day. We reached out with an email and phone call (had to leave a message) and got no response.
A follow up after the sale would have been nice.
