  • Disorganized, Lack of Customer Service, and they LOSE your belongings. Spend the extra money and go to Shoe Lab. Unfortunately, B&L Shoe Repair's disorganized way of running their business and lack of customer service takes away shine from their craftsmanship. I dropped off a pair of Proenza Schouler sandals to get them re-soled (along with 5 other pairs of shoes and spent $130 at their store). By the way, these sandals were about $600+ from Barneys. When I came back to pick up my sandals, the ankle-strap on one of the sandals was missing. I left the sandals there along with my phone number and they said they would call me back in a few days with an update on the missing strap. Four days go by and I don't hear from them, so I call them again. Still no strap, and they said they needed a few more days. I STILL don't hear from them and go back more than a week later to pick up my sandals. Strap is still missing. My sandals are useless at this point. First, they don't offer to reimburse me for the cost of fixing those sandals, even though they lost my strap. Second, they ask me why it took me so long to pick up my sandals. Excuse me? I am a busy woman who travels for work and who cares if it took me a few extra days to pick up my now useless sandals when you LOST the ankle strap to begin with. Before I left I said, "please call me if you find the ankle strap. Do you have my number because I have left it with you twice?" The two men in the store scurry around to try and find my number, of course they are DISORGANIZED and can't find it. I leave my number again, but have lost all hope in this company. Back to Shoe Lab I go and I am now left with a pair of Proenza Schoulers that I cannot wear. By the way, I think they might have changed ownership since a few of the older postings on Yelp. The previous owner was a gentleman who used to work in Brentwood (I think that's what he said). He was much more attentive and careful about the work he did. I had been there once before a couple of years ago and everything was fine. I am not sure who the new owners are, but definitely not going back.
