| - I've tried several popular salons in town. Some a little bigger, some displaying more products but 9037 is my favorite. It's a nice size and I like the layout, so it's comfortable. I don't feel like I'm being judged when i walk in. It has a very friendly and welcoming environment, and I have not been pushed to purchase anything! I came to the salon about a year ago and saw a different stylist but she wasn't available, so I called to see who was available and Angie had time the day I wanted.
I was following Angie on IG after seeing a post related to the salon and figured I'd give her a try since i noticed she had some precise cuts on her IG. I needed someone that could cover grays, but I don't require difficult color techniques since I'm kind of low maintenance. Although it was only a root touch up and gloss, Angie colored my hair perfectly. It came out so shiny and the exact shade of dark brown I wanted. I was really nervous about letting someone new cut my hair, since i've had a few bad "lob" cuts with too much texture (not at this salon) making it impossible to blow out without flips and pointy ends. I explained to Angie I was nervous and I showed her what I didn't like. She put me at ease right away and said "Don't worry about the cut, that's easy." Angie was very friendly and welcomed all my feedback. This time, I didn't try anything drastic but after blowing it myself, I was able to see what a big difference it was from my last cut. She cut just enough and didn't go crazy with her texturizing scissor. She listened. Next time, I may be a bit more daring since I trust her. I usually don't just try someone new without a referral or without seeing their work on a friend, but I'm glad I took a chance.
