This is a wonderful theater in the heart of Madison. We have been to main theater to see a play and twice to the Capitol Theater. The old Capitol Theater is by far our favorite space within the campus. It is an old movie palace/theater now located within the building of the Overture Center. It still holds it charm and old theater feel. The orchestra level is more comfortable in our opinion but the balcony is not bad either. Views of the stage are excellent throughout.
The larger venue maybe to large, the affordable seats are quite high up and far from the stage. The stage is visible but the distance can be a factor, especially if one has trouble with their eyes. The seats are comfortable but someone who has problems with heights may have issues.
There were empty seats in the larger venue, sold out in the smaller venue.
