| - Awesome Mexican food! I was starving after the Butterfly Wonderland and needed to eat something before exploring the Aquarium. I almost bought a little deli sandwich from the cafe at the Butterfly gardens but was so happy to have held out, hoping for a better option. On our walk to the aquarium we were pleasantly surprised to find a whole plaza full of attractions and restaurants, and El Encanto was calling my name "Amandita".
El Encanto starts each table with a full basket of hot chips and 3 different salsas. For a saucey girl like myself, I was already in salsa heaven! My favorite was the green avocado salsa followed by the spicy red, I wasn't a huge fan of the mild (too much oregano), but that didn't matter because I had 2 awesome other salsas!
For lunch I had a Cadillac margarita (it was a late lunch! Lol) and a small version of the fish tacos. The margarita was good and for $7.50, definitely not a bad price! The fish tacos ended up just being a fish taco, but after stuffing my face with delicious chips for the previous 20ish minutes, I really didn't need more than one. The fish was Mahi which is a tougher fish and the taco shell fell apart on me so it had to be a knife and fork taco, but it was served grilled and with a super flavorful pick de gallo as well as the most delicious rice and black beans. Even though my taco fell apart on me, I was very pleased with my meal and great service from Ronnie. Don't settle for Butterfly garden or aquarium cafeteria food, El Encanto is just around the corner!
