  • If you are the person who enjoys discovering cafes reserved only for the most curious of Java lovers - this cafe is for you. It's really easy to miss the entrance and staircase taking you to this cafe that nests on the 2nd floor along Yonge. Black Canary shares its space with Silver Snail Comics so it's got it's own unique flavor and what's great is that it's not flooded with a tourists pouring from Dundas Square to take pictures with the cafe's very own 3D Map of Middle Earth (geek alert!) which is absolutely incredible and accurate.  They have a nice big window that overviews busy Yonge St. and because the cafe is located above ground you feel separated from the buzz on the street and will be able to keep a focus on work. We ordered a grapefruit Italian Soda and it was made fresh on the spot, had the perfect amount of sweetness and fizziness. Overall we had a very fun and productive experience. How could we not? - Batman was watching us up and close the whole time.... (visit and you'll know what we mean)
