I'm surprised I'm the first person to write a review for Fountain Enterprises. Seriously, what have you people been doing? It's been open since last year.
I'm torn over Fountain because I really like the people running it but I'm not a huge fan of the bar itself. I have yet to see an interesting piece of art on the walls and I keep making the mistake of sitting in one of the weird chairs at the end of the bench. I don't really like the space itself but as a place to grab a drink and hang out for a bit it's perfect and sitting at the bar is great. The back half just feels like it's gone wrong somehow.
To be perfectly honest, I started going here because of Vince. If you ever read my review of Stella then you'll understand why. He's just good at making people feel welcome and at home and that hasn't changed now that he's at Fountain. Go pay him a visit and have a talk about music. You will learn something and be a better person for it.
I wish I had more to say but honestly, there's not much to say. They don't serve food but I have seen people eat there. They have a relatively small selection of drinks but they're reasonably priced and tasty. There's a 7-11 just across the street for when you're crawling home and need to fill your face with grease and the staff are great people.
I would happily give Fountain a higher star rating but as I stated, I'm not impressed by the art and it's kind of an odd space. I think it could be a great bar if it was transplanted into a new building.
