I really wanted to love Mud because the concept of efficient pampering at a budget friendly price point is certainly right up my alley, but the setting and some questionable hygiene practices were deal breakers for me.
I enjoyed the product line and choices offered for the facials. Price point is excellent. The blaring synth pop music, not so much. It also felt a bit awkward to be getting a facial while watching people strolling in and out of the aerial studio that shares the space. Maybe a different door is needed for added privacy instead of the glass one?
My biggest concern however is over hygiene. I definitely saw flies buzzing around and it was not clear how tools are being sterilized. The esthetician also did not wash her hands between doing my facial and my sister's nor did she wear gloves when reaching her fingers into product containers. Not cool!
