  • The most exhausting day of my life. We woke up for the 6:20am pickup time, which was extremely prompt. However, you are then bussed over to the depot to redeem your ticket and get on your actual bus for the day. We didn't actually get going until 7:30. They should let people know that an option is to meet at the depot to skip the extremely early wake up. Anyway, we did the South Rim tour so we skipped the Hoover Dam and our first stop was a McDonalds in Kingsman, AZ, which EVERY other bus stops at. The food and bathroom lines are crazy. After about 20 min, you leave and drive a few more hours to the Grand Depot Cafe. Be forewarned, if you are a party of two, you will likely be sitting with other people. This made the anti-social New Yorker in me cringe. Let me tell you though, we were only there for about five minutes because the food was inedible. The taco meat tasted like a whole other animal entirely and the rice was mushy as could be. We left and RAN to the McDonalds about 8 minutes away. We made it back to the bus on time and off we went to the Grand Canyon. We made it there about 1:15. Had one stop at the South Rim and then another at a lodge with a view and a gift shop. Both were adequate. You get the time to do whatever you'd like. We were on our way back to Vegas a little after four. At 7 or so, we stopped at yet another fast food stop in Kingsman. This took way longer than planned since again, it was a restaurant with all other busses. When we were on our way back, the driver asked people in advance if they would get off at hotels that weren't their's to limit his stops. Um, we pay for hotel drop off, not random drop off. But people agreed and we made it to Vegas at 930. He decided to stop at the out of the way hotels first. Each of these were 15 minutes apart and we didn't make it to the strip until almost 10:30, which is where almost everyone was staying. Oh and don't forget that he asked everyone for a 15% tip! They need to make serious process improvements. The only good part of the tour was the canyon, and you can't give the company credit for that.
