| - Please read this review if you plan on living here. All is true. I HATE THIS COMPLEX.
Just got to solstice a few days before our lease date was up to drop off our keys and grab our remaining items to find people inside our apartment installing a washer and dryer BEFORE WE HAD TURNED IN OUR KEYS WITH OUR STUFF STILL IN THE APARTMENT. I could sue them if I want, not sure yet if I will.
Luxury apartments..
Not in the slightest.
New management: not motivated or concerned for tenant safety or property issues they just act like they are. Liz pretends to do her job but she's doesn't care. She should be fired. She also doesn't care about the well-being of her employees. You won't like her once you live here.
Apartment was decent. A little banged up but it was ok for $746 a month a 1brdm 704 sq ft. Since we signed the old lease we got this place for the "old price" which is the only reason we stayed here for the full year. It's not worth more.
I think now it's going for like $900+
These are the "pro" and cons of solstice.
CONS:
Patio Ground covered in spray paint and extremely dirty.
Cracks in the tile.
Sink nozzle in kitchen doesn't move unless given a hard push.
No bedroom light. 3 switches don't work. Outlets don't work.
Garbage disposal sucks.
Slider door is junk.
Patio above us looks like it could crack and come down any second.
Granite kitchen on counters was done so poorly.
Cracks in the doors, screw holes in every wall.
Knife marks on the ceiling from a previous tenant.
The closet is big but set up poorly.
Bottom bath tub surface bubbling.
The bathroom has almost no storage for any towels or toiletries.
The windows are old and thin so be prepared to hear any and everything.
Hot tub has been green for a full year they are just now draining it.
Children run around unsupervised.
Chicken bones from BBQ grill in grass where dogs play, makes for a fun pet ER visit.
Kids put plastic pieces in the quarter machine for water so it's always broken without a sign showing so.
Dogs barking from hours on end because they are neglected on their patios or have been locked inside for 12 hours+
Occasionally I will see fights or confrontations outside my window.
The walls are PAPER thin.
Laundry room smells like gas. Machines never work. My clothes have been locked in the washers.
The water= ALWAYS SHUT OFF. Random hours day or night. Last minute warning, lately no warning at all.
Oh and if you have an assigned parking spot plan on someone parking in it and being a total jerk about it when you ask them to move. Even though it is YOUR assigned spot. You will be blocked in before you have to be somewhere and not knowing who's car is behind yours. You'll be banging on doors while you're late for work. People just park in the middle of the street or in the red zone.
Don't tow anyone though, people are shady here so you'll probably get attacked or screamed at.
Someone threatened to hurt my husband because he asked them nicely not to park in our spot. Someone opened his back storage and tried to steal his tie downs in broad daylight.
Don't tell the property managers because they could care less about actually enforcing rules and just suggest you tow them. The tow trucks take more than an hour btw. They don't allow you to put a sign or anything stating its yours, it's against the "rules"
Lots of shady interaction and suspicious activity during day and night. I see cops around the complex regularly and the ghetto bird. I have pepper spray.
The "gated" concept of this community is hilarious. Those gates are ALWAYS open letting in anyone and everyone. Which brings in some shady people at night. Also since the gates are open people speed through them I have almost been hit numerous times while walking and driving. Today actually a homeless man was walking around banging on doors for food, and resting his head on my door and harassing people that walked by. I emailed Liz, she didn't respond.
People come in and steal packages off people's door steps. We keep sticks in our windows and slider and have three locks on our door. I constantly email about issues with rent/or instances where I feel that I am unsafe to alert the office and I don't receive a reply.
There has been a sticker placed on the vandalized laundry room door that says security cameras in use. That's funny I don't see ANY security at all in this complex.
Gym: all the machines were out of order for a full year, worn down/gross. They just replaced them now after a full year.
Our apartment always smells like sulfur. Even if our bathroom hasn't been used for a few days it always smells. It's great for when you have company over and there's that mysterious smell.
PROS:
The ONLY thing good about this complex is Marco, the maintenance guy and he does everything on his own. He's really friendly and helpful and works hard.
So many other issues, but you get the idea.
DONT RENT HERE. I have added photos.
