I grew up in Lakewood and the park has always been a favorite destination. It is where we would skate during the winter when the baseball fields would freeze over, it's where the parade ends on fourth of july, it's where you watch the fireworks on independence day, it's where you can walk your dog or go for a run and forget you are doing excerize because you are just so taken by the views.
Ever since they have redone the park with a bunch of wonderful updates such as the walkway down by the water and the gazebo, it's always packed with families, runners, dog lovers, and romantic dates. My friends actually got engaged in the gazebo and my other family friend told her husband that she was pregnant while watch the sunset on the bench.
This is a place to build memories in the best suburb of Cleveland. Lakewood park is a safe place to have fun and spend time with loved ones (yes, that includes your dog).
