rev:text	I used to be a regular at Sushi Mon. It was always one of our favorite all you can eat spots in town. For some reason we hadn't been in 3 years and decided to dine there tonight. I went with a friend and my 3 year old son. My son does not like anything that is typically offered on a sushi menu so I packed a juice box and a plastic bag with something he would eat. Our server mentioned that it was their policy not to allow outside food and told us that if my son were to eat or drink what I brought we would be asked to leave. I tried to order a drink for my son (juice or milk) and was told they only carried soft drinks or lemonade. I didn't want to cause a scene so between sushi rolls I took my 3 year old outside to eat his meal. It was tough to explain to my son why he had to eat outside in the 105 degree heat. The most frustrating part of this evening is when we explained to another employee why we were feeding him outside she said that she had never heard of such a policy. I was also disappointed in the service we received. We tried to flag the waiter down for drink refills multiple times with no luck. Luckily the hostess had a pitcher of water and could at least keep our waters topped off. There appeared to be plenty of servers and ours did not look overworked but we were not given much attention The sushi wasn't bad but not like I remember it. I know this review won't apply to people without kids but Sushi Mon made it very clear that they have enough of a customer base to be family friendly.
