rev:text	I will say that I did have a good experience with the procedures themselves so no complaint there. But I was a bit disappointed in the way the yelp coupon was NOT honored. I had previously come here with puppies that needed shots. These puppies were from a dog I found that was pregnant & never claimed. So rather than just take her to an animal shelter I kept her & was paying for the puppies to have their first shots. Kind of a unexpected out of pocket expense that I could have just did without but I couldn't just abandoned the dogs at a shelter. So I purchased the yelp deal for $40 in service for $20 every lil bit helps when you have 5 surprise dogs all of a sudden. So on my first visit the voucher worked & for 2 of the 4 puppies the first set of shots (excluding rabies) was $50 for both dogs. Awesome!! this wasn't too expensive thanks to the voucher. So I bought a second voucher as a gift for a family member & brought in the other 2 puppies that I did not bring on my first visit today. Thinking that since they had NEVER been seen before that my son who was with me could use the gifted voucher towards the first set of shots for these 2 puppies. But was told no it couldn't be because I had already used one. BUT the one I used was for 2 different puppies that also were NEW patients a month ago. They would not honor a gifted voucher with my son present. He could have brought them without me as they were new patients & probably had no problem. But because I had been there only 1 time before it counted as if these puppies were all mine. And I made it very clear I was not keeping any of them & simply thought it was the right thing to do which was at least get these dogs started on their shots before giving the dogs new homes. And doing research on the doctor I found she worked at DEWEY prior to her own practice so I'm sure she had seen her fair share of dogs being dropped off & not cared for properly so I figure she understands that I am trying to get these pups a good first start. I also am NOT asking the new owners for any rehoming fees or money I simply want the dogs to be placed in a good home & at least give the new owners an incentive to take a puppy & take care of the first shots myself out of pocket. But instead of paying $50 like I did for the other 2 new patients puppies. I was charged $90 plus I had bought the $20 voucher that I obviously can't use because no matter what it will always be from the same household. Needless to say paying double the amount plus some ($60 more) from the first visit 3 weeks ago to the second visit for the same procedure on 2 new patient puppies was REALLY a bummer. Specially when I could have just taken them 5 mins from the house to the vet in Southern Highlands & paid less instead of driving 25 mins out of the way to pay more. All for dogs that were NEW patients & would never be coming back under my name. However, hopefully would be coming back as their preferred vet ...since I had each of the shot records printed for each dog & was gonna refer the new owners to this vet since the dogs were already in the system & had been seen here. So while the procedure (first shots) was what I would expect it to be for first shots. The paying DOUBLE when technically the dogs were NEW patients & could have been logged in under my sons name since the voucher was gifted to him &he was present & they knew the situation of me not ever planning on having 5 extra dogs really upset me since I could have just taken them close to home and paid less. Paying $90 plus $20 (yelp voucher that I can't use) for something that cost you $50 before & having to drive 25 mins out of the way to give a business more new business isn't how I'd hoped this to turn out. So if your using the yelp voucher & plan on buying up to 3 as gifts as they say you can. Make sure you dont buy them for anyone living with you or that you don't go as well. Even when the dogs had to be entered into the system as new patients they did not consider that as an exception which is a real bummer. SO that is why I give it 2 stars. I had actually put my own 3 dogs in the system as I was planning on making this my new vet since our vet moved out of state & since I tend to be a magnet for lost dogs that I end up fostering but kinda on the fence now if I can drive 5 mins away for the same prices. Something to sleep on
