| - Pricing: one filling here = $100 AFTER insurance.
Pricing: 14 fillings and gingevectomy at other dentist = $240 after insurance.
Bad prices.
Bad service.
Lack of expertise.
I really liked this office at first. They got right to the point. I began with a cleaning of course, in which I was pleasantly surprised that I had no cavities. I was informed that an old filling looked like it needed replacing. Of course I opted in for the preventative care.
First, the office assistant told me my insurance was not going to cover the filling. Glad I then called insurance myself, during which they confirmed I did have coverage and that they had NOT received an inquiry from a dental office.
After they replaced the filling, the tooth became sensitive to cold and pressure. I went in twice over a two month period concerning this tooth, only to hear that there was nothing wrong.
Eventually, I found the discomfort overwhelming. I sought out another dentist. From the initial cleaning, I was informed that I had FOURTEEN cavities, including the irritable tooth. In addition, I was in need of a gingevectomy on a back molar.
It is not in the same general area, but go to Smile For Life Dentistry on 35th ave and Peoria. They are wonderful! Dr. Wu clearly knows what she is doing and she explains what she is doing throughout the session. The hygienists are so friendly and helpful, and the front desk staff is timely and competent.
