I woke up this morning with a puffy, painful and swollen eyelid. I called my regular Dr. who is a physician at another Healthcare Partner office, but he was booked and I needed immediate attention. The receptionist at that office told me that this HCP location is also an Urgent Care and takes walk-in appointments, and luckily it's only a mile or so from my house, so off I went.
The clinic is large and very clean. The ladies at the front desk directed me to the "walk in" area which is through a separate door. I checked in with the receptionist who took all my information and then I waited. The thing about quick care and urgent care is they are never quick or urgent! It's very annoying. The employees were friendly though. One of the nurses was walking around the waiting room asking people if they wanted bottled water which I thought was a nice gesture. Anyway I waited for almost 1.5 hours before being taken back and having my vitals checked, and then back out to the lobby to sit and wait more. Finally they called my name and I went back to a room. Dr. Chen came in almost immediately. He took a look at my eyelid and told me I have an infection, then gave me a couple RX and I was on my way. I saw him for like 5 minutes tops. Now I know why they call it "quick care" haha. I would recommend this clinic if you are in the area and need medical attention.
