If you're a fan of baked goods, you should definitely try Butter Baker out. Just be prepared to take it to go and spend a bit more than usual.
I came upon this place while taking a look at Pablo next door. Butter Baker is a cute little bakery with it's own take on baked goods. There's a very warm feeling to the decor here. If you love cute things, you're going to love this place.
They have some very unique items that I have never seen at other bakeries. I had trouble deciding what to get my wife here. Items are being baked throughout the day. On a busy day, expect to have some wait times for items if they're out at the moment. I was told about 25-30 minutes for the croissants.
I ended up settling on some cake pieces, a tart and a danish. As you can tell from my pics, the baked goods here are quite unique, and prepared very well. My wife loved every item I picked up. The Matchmisu cake could have had more match taste, but that's a nitpick if anything.
There are only tables here, no chairs. It's strictly a standing area only place. From the size of the place and being downtown, that's not too surprising. Just be prepared to pay a little more than usual. You're looking at $3.50 plus for croissants, $5 plus for mostly everything else. It's definitely more pricier that what I'm used to. They do offer tax free if you order more than 6 items.
All in all, Butter Baker should be tried by all who love baked goods. It will be hard to justify daily because of the prices, but for a nice little reward, it's a sure bet.
